Eligibility:

Scholarship:  Students must have the required cumulative, weighted G.P.A. in order to be considered for membership into the of Bordentown Regional High School’s George M. Dare Chapter of the National Honor Society.  Scholarship (GPA) alone, however, is not the only criteria for membership.  Other criteria include leadership, service and character. 

Honor Society membership is not a right, and a student can not interdependently request consideration.  Membership is a privilege bestowed by the school upon those students who are found to meet the criteria for selection.

The Cover Letter and Candidate Form are required to be completed and returned to the advisor by the appropriate deadline in order to be reviewed by the Faculty Council of the NHS. Completion and submission of the forms does NOT guarantee selection. These forms will be mailed home in the fall to eligible students.  

It is the student's responsibility to contact the required individuals that will assist in the completion of the forms.  Provide enough time for the person to access the required information.  DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO COMPLETE THE FORMS IMMEDIATELY.  Likewise, don't wait until the last minute and blame the individual for lateness.
