Grading Policy for Concert Band and Honors Jazz Ensemble

Weekly Grades (10) 50%

Each week a grade will be given that reflects preparation (instrument, music, pencil), practice, and accountability. No cell phones are permitted during active rehearsals! Proper behavior is expected at all times. 

Performance Quizzes (2) 10%

Performance quizzes given will include scales/rhythm sheets, smart music passages, and concert repertoire.

Concert/Performances (1-2) 40%

Performances include formal concerts, pep rallies etc.

 

*Cell Phones are not permitted during instructional time unless permitted by Mr. Montalto. More than one warning will result in points lost for their daily grade.
