PRECALCULUS

Pre-Calculus is primarily designed for those students who are well prepared for advanced mathematics and who wish to advance in the fields of mathematics, science or engineering with possible career goals in those areas. It is intended primarily to properly prepare students for advanced placement calculus, calculus, and related courses traditionally taught on a college level.

Success in college-level mathematics courses begins with a strong foundation in algebra and trigonometry. A central goal of this course is to help students further develop and solidify this foundation following the completion of two courses in algebra and one course in geometry, which is essential preparation in addressing the rigors of advanced placement calculus. Technology is integrated throughout the course to aid in student understanding.
